One week since I cut up my spare Philodendron Golden Tuxtla to try different propagation methods and here are the results.
Growing in Water
Growing in Sphagnum Moss
Growing in Coconut Coir
And the two rooted bare stems.
I think that there is clearly some change in all of the pieces. However, one of the water grown cuttings has by far grown the most. Its interesting that it is the tip cutting as well. The others are all showing signs of new shoots and/or roots beginning to form, so it is in no way a foregone conclusion at this stage.
I will do a weekly update to see how each method preforms. Rather than a before and after report.
Thanks for reading and happy growing. Xx
